how is your generation different from your parents' generation? Are those differences good or bad?5/17/2016 Needless to say, today's generation of teenagers are immensely different from those that grew up in the 80's. Most teenagers nowadays are arrogant, entitled, and lack basic knowledge. There a a multitude of reason for this, although one cannot pinpoint one specific reason. One factor may be parents giving their children whatever they want, thinking this is "good parenting." Instead of raising their kids, I believe many parents try to buy their offspring material items instead of instilling morals in their mind because it is easier. One thing I'd also like to point out is how often adults complain about how the youth of today conduct themselves. They are completely ready to say anything and everything about young individuals today, but they are, after all, the ones that were supposed to raise them.

Since I've been old enough to talk, I've chosen varying role models to look up to. They have changed quite a bit over the years, but one person that I constantly keep coming back to is my mom. Although there are celebrities that possess many characteristics and traits that I deeply admire, my mom is my biggest inspiration. Since I was a child, she has instilled only the best morals and values in me for my own benefit. Although I have not agreed with all of her decisions and thoughts throughout my life, I know that she has always done what she personally thought was best. She has had to raise two children by herself since my sister was ten and I was six. It was definitely not a cake walk, but she has went above and beyond in making sure that her children turned into great individuals.
