Career & Aspirations
Practical Career
As an adult, I'd like to be either a Stenographer or real estate agent. As a Stenographer, I would transpose all of the spoken words in a courtroom onto an electronic steno machine. As a real estate agent, I would be showing and selling homes, following through with legal processes, and many other things. I am highly interested in both of these careers because they each seem like they would be good fields to go into. It takes about two years to complete the court reporting program at Macomb Community College. For a real estate agent, you can simply get your license, and you're all set to go, but it would be wise to have some form of business knowledge. |
Impractical Career
If i could have any dream job, regardless of required skills and knowledge, I would most likely be a lawyer. Depending on what type of law you decide to practice, you can potentially make an immensely large sum of money. There are a few select legal jobs that seem very appealing to me, and this is definitely one of the most interesting. I think that it would be fascinating to defend an individual regardless of whether or not they actually committed a crime. Although this career seems very fascinating to me, I do not believe I would ever be able to go through all of the required education due to the fact that it takes so long to get through law school. |
Nonexistent Career
If there were to be one place in which I would never work, this would surely have to be McDonald's. Personally, I believe that it may even be pushing it to work at McDonalds while in high school and college. It is probably one of the most repulsive work environments that one could possibly work in, and I would have to have gone through a lot of issues in my life to end up working there for the rest of my life. Despite this fact, I believe that this job is fit for some individuals that are more adept to this sort of work, environment, and salary.
